A table arrangement for a confined cabin

This is a minimised 'Lite' page, want to see the real page?

What is the issue?
Mounting a reasonable sized table in a confined cabin can be a challenge. A respectably sized table can consume a large proportion of the available space and can make accessing the fore cabin inconvenient. Yet a table that is not in the way will be too small and unpleasant to dine off.

Why address this?
Dining and entertaining is one of the greatest pleasures of the sailing experience. An accommodation for a serviceable table that is not problematic is very worthwhile.

How to address this?
One approach to this is to implement a crank legged table as presented in figures 1 & 2. This spacious table can be turned in over the bunk and out of the way very easily when not required.
