What is the issue?
A vessels tiller does not always reach to the most comfortable or optimal position for steering.
Why address this?
Adding a tiller extension will allow the helmsman to obtain the best view or most comfortable steering position leading to better performance and sailing pleasure.
How to address this?
A tiller extension may be easily integrated into the end of the tiller as demonstrated in figure 1.
With the use of a bolt and wing nut it may be secured in a folded position with the bolt in slot one, or as a fixed extension in slot two. With the bolt removed the extension can be used on a swivel.
