What is the issue?
Washboard assembly is far from convenient. Assembling a set of washboards requires the correct washboard to be dropped in place the correct way round. The bottom washboard is normally distinguishable but its orientation may not be. The middle and top are easy to muddle.
Why address this?
Securing the boat is a regular activity that you invariably muddle when in a hurry.
How to address this?
Label the washboards on the inside as presented in figure 1. Having top middle and bottom clearly marked on the inside makes it a cinch to get them in the correct order and orientation.
