Guaranteeing the anchor comes up the correct way to sit in bow roller

This is a minimised 'Lite' page, want to see the real page?

What is the issue?
When hauling in the ground tackle it is a matter of good luck that it comes up with the anchor head orientated in the correct way to sit on the bow roller.

Why address this?
Correcting the orientation will involve someone on the bow dropping and manoeuvring the chain and anchor until the head turns down to sit into its seat. For shorthanded or solo sailors in crowded anchorages this is less than ideal.

How to address this?
Implement ‘The Twist’ as the connector to your anchor chain as presented in figure 1. This product turns the anchor automatically up the correct way to locate it snugly onto the bow roller.
‘The Twist’ is a revolving anchor joint with a bend that means it will roll the anchor beneath so that it may only be retrieve one way. Hence as it comes in over the bow roller it forcibly turns the anchor head to the correct orientation every time. The product is made of stainless steel and available in two sizes chains (6/8mm and 10/12mm).
