Marine radio handling easier
What is the issue?
Certain ship names are difficult to hear correctly on the radio, our boat name was a particular case. Crews members who are unfamiliar with the boat name phonetics can get lost when they have to step through both the spelling and phonetics at the same time. Why address this?
Being unable to communicate the ships name effectively is not good, or having a crew member staggeringly broadcasting their inability to spell and do phonetics is priceless. How to address this?
Place a sticker beside the ships radio with the boats name conveniently spelled out in its phonetics. The radio operator only has read it off upon request. It makes sense to also place the ships registry number alongside.
